What we Teach
Middle school
By the time they reach middle school at Colégio Maxi, our students already have a leadership spirit, an awareness of our school community, and are benefiting more and more from our teaching with care.
The years leading up to their arrival in high school will help consolidate important content not only for the university entrance exams but also for the formation of our students as members of a global community.

Bilingual education
In middle school, we have expanded the regular course load in the English language to include subjects from the international curriculum.
Parents may also choose to further their children’s bilingual experience through the Cambridge Plus* program during the second slot.
For students in the 6th to 8th grade, the program combines the Cambridge International Lower Secondary Curriculum with activities that assist in the development of academic and practical skills.
During two afternoons per week, students have English and Spanish language learning experiences facilitated by Brazilian instructors and native speakers from English and Spanish-speaking countries. At the end of the program, students take the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint exam, which assesses their knowledge of Mathematics and English.
Cambridge Plus subjects:
- English first language
- Mathematics
